This month we are delighted to welcome Professor Amitava Banerjee from UCL, and Health Data Scientist, Dr Mehrdad Mizani from the BHF Data Science Centre, to talk about their work to model mortality during the Covid-19 pandemic, entitled “Predicting excess deaths among people with COVID-19 using national electronic health records.”

This event is primarily aimed at the research community but all are welcome.

Joining instructions will be issued before the Webinar.

The BHF Data Science Centre is a partnership between Health Data Research UK and the British Heart Foundation that works to deliver the data and data science needed to address some of the most important challenges in heart and circulatory disease research. The Centre works with a wide range of partners including patients, public, clinicians, researchers and NHS organisations to help them carry out research using health data into the causes, prevention and treatment of all diseases of the heart and circulation, such as heart attacks, stroke and vascular dementia.
