My Health Data Research UK (HDR UK) Black Internship Programme experience: Modupe Aggreh

Modupe Aggreh reflects on her experience as an intern within our Black Internship Programme at the Brain Tumour Charity.
My experience at the HDRUK internship was extremely rewarding. Initially, I found the Technical challenge slightly daunting as that was my first time of working on a health dataset and within a group. Also, as each week passed by and with members of my group being supportive, I felt comfortable working on the Technical challenge.
While working on the challenge, I honed my Python coding skills, data analysis skills, presentation skills, improved my communication and listening skills as well as my project management skills.
I felt a sense of satisfaction being able to apply the knowledge I have acquired during the course of my MSc degree on the Technical team challenge. I will definitely recommend the internship to others.
