Alex Knight joined HDR UK as Project Manager (Data Standards) in March 2023.
Alex has a PhD in Molecular Biology from the Medical Research Council’s Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge. After postdoctoral research at the Whitehead Institute in Cambridge Massachusetts and the University of York, he joined the Biotechnology Group at the National Physical Laboratory as a Senior (later Principal) Research Scientist. Here he led a team researching diverse topics including super-resolution microscopy, biophysical spectroscopy, point-of-care diagnostics, and international metrology for the life sciences. After working as a data analyst and founding a microbiomics start-up, he joined Holmusk, a Singaporean digital health company specialising in mental health real-world evidence.
