Professor Andrew Dowsey is Professor of Population Health Data Science, a joint post between the Department of Population Health Sciences and Bristol Veterinary School, where he is Research Director for Bristol Veterinary School. He is a Turing Fellow with expertise at the interface of health sciences and data science / artificial intelligence, working in highly multidisciplinary environments to both lead and support investigations in multi-omics discovery, health records modelling and longitudinal health monitoring. Many projects take a One Health approach – the interplay between human, animal and environmental research. Previously he held posts at the Universities of Liverpool and Manchester and held an EPSRC Overseas Fellowship at Imperial College London’s Institute of Global Health Innovation and University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Centre.
