Bridget Young is Professor of Psychology at the University of Liverpool. She specialises in the use of qualitative methods to investigate ways to improve treatments, services and clinical research processes for patients and their families. She co-chairs the COMET Initiative’s People and Public Participation, Involvement and Engagement working group, is a panel member for the NIHR Programme Grants for Applied Research awards and senior advisor for the NIHR North West Research Design Service. Until 2018 she was also Co-lead of Patient Perspectives Theme, MRC North West Hub for Trials Methodology Research.
