Dr Paul Kirk qualified from St George’s Hospital Medical School, London in 1999 with a medical degree (MBBS) and also an intercalated degree (BSc). He completed his postgraduate higher specialist training in general medicine and cardiology in hospitals throughout London and the Eastern Deanery. He spent 3 years completing a fellowship and doctorate of medicine at the Royal Brompton Hospital in advanced cardiac imaging and cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (MDRes).
Dr Kirk has published extensively in cardiology including high profile journals such as Circulation. Dr Kirk has presented nationally and internationally for which he was awarded the prestigious accolade of “Young Investigator of the Year” in the USA.
His specialist interests are angina, angiography, arrhythmia, valvular heart disease, syncope, hypertension, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, cardiac disease in pregnancy and advanced cardiac imaging techniques.
