Jude holds master’s degrees in data science and applied statistics. His interest in applying machine learning to healthcare problems was first sparked when he entered a hackathon to develop novel ideas to help the NHS deal with patients who are undergoing surgery.
Working alongside two NHS physicians the team developed a prize-winning computer-vision solution that monitored the risk of developing pressure sores.
Later Jude went on to work as a data scientist in an AI health technology start-up. Here he developed software systems that made intelligent treatment recommendations for patients with hematologic cancers and cardiometabolic diseases such as diabetes.
His previous projects include work using electronic health records, computer vision and natural language processing.
