The COVID-19 National Core Studies Data & Connectivity programme aims to address the current fragmentation of the UK data infrastructure by working in partnership with stakeholders from across the four nations to organise medical, biological and social science data on an unprecedented scale and complexity. As Project Manager, Matt works to ensure the successful development and delivery of our programme, working closely with the other D&C programme managers, other teams at HDR UK and our delivery partners who provide or host data.
Matt joined HDR UK from Wellcome Trust, where spent time working in strategy development, evaluation and internal audit. Most recently he was project lead in the Research on Research Institute, piloting a Data Platform for collaborative research between funders. Previously, he worked at King’s College London, University College London and Merck as a research scientist specialising in neuroscience and pain.
