Meredith Leston is a first-year doctoral student at the University of Oxford’s Nuffield Department of Primary Health Care Sciences. As an Oxford-MRC Enterprise iCASE Scholar and Alan Turing Institute Enrichment Student, Meredith‘s research focuses on differential vaccine benefit-risk amongst the immunosuppressed – comparing vaccine uptake, effectiveness, and adverse events of interest between immunosuppressed subtypes.

Her work utilises the unique confluence of computerised medical record data (courtesy of the Oxford-Royal College of General Practitioners’ Research and Surveillance Centre) and biological specimen data (virology and serology sampling) offered by the ORCHID Trusted Research Environment and aims to inform future vaccine scheduling and dosing amongst this vulnerable group.
