Brian McKinstry is a GP and Professor of Primary Care eHealth at Edinburgh University. He leads the Telescot programme of research into telehealth (https://www.ed.ac.uk/usher/telescot) and SHARE the Scottish Health Research Register (www.registerforshare.org), a register of >250,000 people who have given permission for their secure health service data to be used to identify their suitability for research and who have given permission for blood left over from routine analyses to be collected and employed in genetic research. He currently leads Scale-Up BP a large-scale implementation project delivering telehealthcare to thousands of people in Scotland.
