Professor Chris Ponting is interested in discovering what changes to DNA and other molecules (such as RNAs and proteins) alter risk to disease. Finding these changes should make it easier to develop new interventions and therapies. His research group combines experimental and computational approaches, and he is interested in harnessing skills across disciplines to get the most out of large data sets.
