I’m an intern in the Diverse Data Programme at Genomics England. Through this internship, I hope to acquire and develop skill sets that allow me to remain and progress at Genomics England or in health data research areas. As a BSc Psychology graduate with keen interest and years of experience in healthcare, I have witnessed the impacts of a lack of diversity in healthcare research which impacts the quality of care given, and the quality of the individual’s life as well. So, I’m excited to intern at an organisation that promotes and understands the importance of inclusivity and diversity in research to save and improve people’s lives.
I’m also interested in the advancement of technology in healthcare, and I’m looking forward to meeting amazing and interesting people.
