Sam Cox joined Health Data Research UK as a Senior Research Software Engineer (RSE) on a 50% secondment from the University of Nottingham in April 2023. Originally a mathematician working in High Performance Computing, Sam has 7 years of experience as an RSE. Sam has spent the last 3 years working in Health Data, and leads the development team for the CaRROT (Convenient and Reusable Rapid OMOP Transformer) tools created as part of the CO-CONNECT (COVID – Curated and open analysis and research platform) project to help scientists across the UK access Covid data they need more easily.
