Dr Thanasis Tsanas studied Engineering for his Undergraduate and Masters Degrees and completed a PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of Oxford. He is currently a Chancellor’s fellow in Data Science at the Usher Institute of Population Health and InformaticsUniversity of Edinburgh. His research focuses on solving practical complicated problems through analysing data, by developing and deploying signal processing and statistical machine learning algorithms. Thanasis develops robust clinical decision support tools to assist experts make better-informed decisions primarily in neurodegenerative disorders, mental disorders, and cardiovascular disorders.
