Whilst electronic patient records can be used to estimate the number of patients with certain medical conditions, they lack information on contemporary socio-demographic characteristics needed to identify the patients at risk of poverty.
Leveraging on our unique ability and permission to link individual-level clinical records with the 2021 Census data, we aim to identify groups of patients at high risk of hospitalisation and death during the winter, focusing on the interplay between poverty and clinical vulnerabilities.
