Host organisations in our 2023 programme
We are pleased to work with organisations in health data across a wide range of sectors including academic, charities, civil service, industry and the NHS.
Here’s what some of our partners say about the programme:
Shaun Cochrane, Deputy Director of Biomedical Research Centre Operations at St Guy’s and St Thomas’s NHS Foundation Trust, said:
“It was fantastic to host the interns within our facility. Their experience included working with world-class research teams in one of the largest NHS trusts and a world-leading university – King’s College, London. They also learnt how to navigate coding and programming using Python to produce linear and logistic regressions as well as health data analysis using packages such as NumPy and Pandas.”
Rob Stewart, Professor of Psychiatric Epidemiology and Clinical Informatics at King’s College London, and Clinical and Population Informatics lead at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre, said:
“I’m very pleased to be hosting candidates from the Black Internship Programme. Improving diversity in research communities is a long overdue, but thankfully growing, priority. My research group has been privileged over the years to provide training and experience to students and trainees at early stages in their careers and I look forward to continuing this through these summer placements.”
