Saadiyah is a South African student. She did her undergraduate degree in Mathematical Statistics, and her master’s in advanced analytics, covering a range of topics in statistics and machine learning.

In the years before starting her DPhil, Saadiyah worked in infectious disease modelling in South Africa. She was part of the research group supporting the government through the COVID-19 pandemic. Aside from decision support, she is interested in any high impact health-related work in sub-Saharan Africa.

In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, reading, and debating.
