Professor Cathie Sudlow elected to Academy of Medical Sciences
Huge congratulations to our Associate Director, Professor Cathie Sudlow, who has been elected as a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences in light of her pioneering work in health data science. Cathie joins other fellows from HDR UK including Ronan Lyons, Kenny Baillie and Bruce Guthrie.
Professor Sudlow OBE FMedSci is a clinical epidemiologist and Director of the BHF Data Science Centre, led by HDR UK. Her work promotes the use of large scale, collaborative, big data approaches to understand and tackle a wide range of diseases.
Cathie says: “I am delighted to be elected as a Fellow to the Academy and look forward to helping advance biomedical research for the benefit of society.”
